Are buyers "buying"? In La Quinta, CA, the answer is yes, they are. My most recent listing is currently in escrow after being on the market for only 29 days. Granted, this is in the higher end market, listed at $2.5 million, however I am working with buyers in all price ranges. And they are serious. They are looking for the ideal golf or gated community, the ideal floor plan, the ideal view, fully decorator turn-key furnished, salt-water pool and spa...the works! And right now, with the inventory being what it is, they are finding just what they are looking for. The fact is, more and more people every day are using the INTERNET to preview listings, compare prices, and view photos and get a feeling for the market before contacting a Realtor.
